Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

August, Your comments and insight are most appreciated. I wasn't on for a few days and surprise to find you really looking over my portofolio. all of your words are inspiring and they show that you are looking beyond the surface at what I was trying to portray. Your work, though limited to us here at this moment, is absolutely wonderful. I can't wait to see what is next in store for us to see flying in the air or static on the ground! Again, thank you. elisabeth

August, I was looking through your portfolio again when I noticed your recent submission of the Bearcat at sunrise in Chino. I think thats a great shot, but would also agree that the original on webshots is better. That is also how I found Photo Fancy. I think that's an awesome photo! I love the sky, the airplane, the location... everything! So keep sharing and hopefully I'll get some good airshow shots from the Heber Valley Airshow up here in Utah on July 8th...any hints or tips before then?

Andre Easter , June 27, 2006; 07:44 A.M.

Many of us here on PN are aeroplane enthusiasts. But rarely do I see the artistry in composition that you display. I envy your talent sir.

Lavern Burk , October 26, 2006; 12:00 A.M.

Great avaiation portfolio! Some of the best photos I seen on the subject. One question though. Where do you shoot at? Are these mostly Chino? I live under the flight path of Ramona airport and most weekends are a vintage airshow. My photos just don't hold a candle to yours though.

Vernon Miller , November 03, 2006; 01:56 A.M.

THANKS for your Insight

I really appreciate the comments and feedback on all my aviation photos. This was the first time I have ever taken shots of airplanes like this, I have always been just a snapshooter. Funny thing is my long lense for the day broke the morning of the show so after I got over being upset about it. I began to walk the line and think about going in tight. Whenever there is bad light or nothing inspiring to shoot I always think about isolating the subject. So this way of shooting airplanes is somthing I would like to explore. Your portfolio is AMAZING. Thanks again for the inspiration! - Vern

red baron pizza comment

hey thanks for your kind comments on my Red Baron Pizza Stunt plane shots. Looking over your work, it means that much more to me. My first newspaper job, some 30 years ago, I learned that my editor was a plane nut. That meant anytime I could get a plane in a shot, he'd run it. I ended up loving flying and found chances to fly in a lot of vintage craft including b-29, b24, p 51, At6's and some odd German and other WWII aircraft. In addition, I found my way up in the goodyear blimp, the stunt biplanes, crop dusters, helicopters of all sizes and still love it. The only ones I don't like are the ones that the TSA has a hand in, our crowded unfriendly airliners.

After all those flying experiences, I even more deeply appreciate your images. Super!

Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.

Happy Holidays and Happy Shooting

Ken
