What strikes me the most is so many of your landscape photos have a singular point of special color, and this makes them especially appealing. I really like your vision and how you express it in your photographs.

BTW, I lived in Maasin, S. Leyte, for two years (1972-74), and it was there that I really started my photography with my first SLR (Miranda Sensorex, later a Konica Auto-Reflex T). The Philippines will always be a special place to me.

I really don't know if you still remember me but you should know me by the my nickname "COOK." I am the son of you daughter's piano teacher, Mrs. Victorina Garcia and a choirmate of Jik as well when she was still in Fairview.
I got into this site because I'm very interested to learn about photography. Vivian Andres was kind enough to tell me about your work and saw the wonderful photos that you have taken. I enjoy looking at your photos and wonder what settings did you use for every photo.
I am using a Rebel Xsi 450D and would like to know and utilize all it's features. I learned some techniques only through some websites here in the net. Can you please recommend any book/s that can help me do this? Thanks and keep up inspiring others as you have inspired me. God bless.

Wow....whilst your B&W images are noteworthy by themselves, you excel in the colour ones. Very pleasing images overall - again, as I said, with incredible colours without running into that completely oversaturated look. It's easy to crank up the saturation slider, but your images don't look like that, they are far superior.
