Many of you floral pictures are very good, as are the children. Keep up the good work!

What a lovely group of photos you have here! The colors are wonderful, and some of your child shots are super cute! You might want to think about separating your floral and child arrangements, just to heighten the power of both genres, which you are excellent at respectively. All in all, great job! Thank you for the comment on my Grave yard pic. I found you and your portfolio very interesting. I have to say you are creative with the light source that you have. We have to be. I really do not have all the fancy expensive lighting that "high end" photographers use either. The most I honestly have is 2 starter kit umbrella lights and the one that is for free, the good ol sun. You have the eye. No doubt. I've learned you really do not need all the perfect lighting at 1st. Matter of fact any one starting out, I would suggest they experiment with lighting around the house. I think thats where you learn the most. I use things like oil lamps, halogen lights, spot lights, strobe lights (the ones for parties that blink crazy lol), pretty much anything that plugs in or battery operated that gives off light. Backgrounds, I go thrift shopping for. I only have one muslin, which came in the starter kit. The little girl that is in your portfolio, certainly makes a great model. I have enjoyed your photos, really because they seem more of my style. I like more "raw" than anything. I am actually doing photos for clients now and they perfer "raw". I know I am going on and on here, I am just excited to see someone that is in my shoes doing so well. I truely think you have the gift. Keep on experimenting. Your photos are a joy. Take care.

Your comment on Supernatural was much appreciated as it's part of a series of experimentations with extreme image manipulations. The photos in your portfolio are a very different sort of study: amazing clarity, pure colors and immaculate composition (to say nothing of the sweetness of your subject!)

I posted a question today in a forum about "what makes a good portfolio." I got a variety of answers and I am not sure what I expected. Looking at your portfolio I see a common thread and it, in part, answered my question better than words. I love your color. B&W photos are so popular and I love them too but the color... Color is so great and your floral photos are sooooo colorful! Thanks for you kind comments on my page as well.

...thanks for our positive comment on my HD - I image. How I "do it" is probably very similar to you - a lot of time, patience and experimentation!! I can also tell you is that a Wacom tablet is a must as is the loathesome Photoshop.
