Martin:
I like what I see here. Especially your bird photos. There is a simplicity and directness of composition here that probably fools people into thinking what you have done has been easy. The owl images are particularly striking to me. I have tried bird photography in the past, and freely admit that I have been unable to get more than a few that I was even remotely pleased with...and certainly none as good as what you have here.
Compliments to you.

Dear Martin
Finally, I got a chance to look at your collection of pictures (for some reason I don't like the word "portfolio"). Great job! I am not trying to be nice, I really mean it. Although you specialize in birds, they are awesome, I like the portrait of your girlfriend a lot. I assume that you can be as good with people as with the birds. Please keep posting,
Gene

"Straight Shooter"
Nice shots Martin!! My self, being a "bird freak", can appreciate your patience! Unfortunately, raising a young family, limits the time I can give to "my passion". Alot of my shots are older, so it will be nice when I get the time to utilize the new techniques I've learned, and post new ones!! I appreciate that many of your shots are not manipulated! Keep up the good work, and keep posting!I'll check back in from time to time.Regards,Charles

"Once a birdman, always a birdman"!
Hi Martin! It's nice to see you've added some new viewing material to your port. Patience is definitely a virtue in bird photography! Stay well, I'll be back, Charles

Martin, if you comment on my image "Bad photograph", let me know why.(Is it because I do not shoot birds?) cheers Jana

The reason is in the message....
My rating was 7-7 . I realy like that photo. For the lines, the confusion but in the same time a great memory for the shooter.
My comment was: bad photo..... for Monk the obsessive-compulsive detective....
well... all in all ...it was a joke and genius photo i would put it on a wall in a large size ;)
keep posting I like your portfolio alot.

Martin,
Thank you for your consideration of me as interesting, although for what I am not sure. You definitely have a ntural ability for shooting birds(oiseaux-pardon my crappy French, although I try to learn more each trip to France,)and I really love some of your sunsets-they are beautiful.

Hi Martin
Thanks for your comment and ratings on my 'puddle' photo. I sort of agree with you about the BW or Colour. I was trying to make the puddle look 'other worldly' as opposed to the greyness of that particular day. I was originally photographing the reflection of the buildings in the puddle when these two guys came into the frame - that's what's great about photography, you never know when a great pic is going to come into view. Your pics are V good, I haven't looked at all your photos but I particularly like the cat licking the pane of glass! Anyway as a newcomer, thanks again.

You are right! There sure enough was something in the background. I can't believe I missed it. I was more concerned about the heavy shadow area on the right side of her nose. I don't think my fill was in the right spot. Thanks for your comments, and taking the time. Laura Larson

Hello Friend!
Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night 11-7-07 and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.
I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.
Happy Holidays and Happy Shooting
Ken

Martin,
What a captivating portfolio. I love the landscape photos most. But I do have to admit, my favorite picture is the one of the cat licking the window - what a great capture.
