Theo,
Thanks for answering my questions about mirrored telephotos. You have a great African wildlife portrait. I've had the good fortune to visit E and S Africa a few times but it was all in my predigital days. Maybe you have given me the inspiration I need to get back there! GJ

Hi Theodore,
Thanks for looking at my photos.
You have a very interesting collection too.
I must say, many of you photos are good enough to steal - its amazing where they can appear, and then as you know its had to undo legally. Hence I write all over mine.
You have visited some exotic places and have some great shots for it.
Some of the areas I'm close to as I live in Kenya at the moment.
I'd love to see some Greek cityscapes too? :-)
By the way, there is a well publicized lady photographer, who was a lawyer about 5 years ago - and with your eye for detail, plus some understanding of the commercial aspects, who knows. Should you be traveling to Kenya, be sure to let me know.

Hi Theodore
Thanks for the nice suggestion on my wolf picture. I'll try cropping her more to the right of center and see how it looks. She was actually looking over at a goose swimming upriver but it was too far away to get in the same frame. Your African photos are AMAZING. That's a dream trip for my wife and I someday but it's a bit farther for us than it is for you. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing more of your work.
Best Regards!

Your wildlife photos are superb. Its tough to say which is the best, but if I had to choose, it would be a tie between the tiger and zebra photos.
Well done and hope to see more of your uploads soon.

You have an awesome portfolio of images. So sharp and clear with great depth of field. Very consistent as well. My favorite is the tight crop of the Zebra head. Theodore
You have some great wildlife photos. Thanks for rating and commenting on my photo of the tiger. You were right about the pink nose indicating it is a young tiger. It was born at the zoo in December of 2006. However, even though it has "extended face fur" like you say indicates a male...it's a female. It's a
sumatran tiger, so maybe that makes a difference. She was bottle fed and hand
raised by the keepers and veterinarians at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, WA.
because the mother tiger wouldn't care for it after birth.

Hi Theodore. I feel like I've been on an African Safari - excellent work. One general comment, if I may, would be to get some good extreme close-up shots of some the animals, esp the carnivores. Thier eyes have power and hold your attention. Thanks for coming by and commenting on the Black Mamba picture. It was a controlled setting, but the snake was very, very active. Best regards.

Hi Theodore, Thank you very much for all your comments and ratings on my photos. Very appreciated. Your portfolio of wildlife photography is quite astounding. Moreover, what I do like most of your captures, they are not just "pretty pictures" which you can find a dozen a dime, you emphasize character, trait and mood in your photos, thus portray personality which makes them stand out. All the best - Sigmar (from California)

Theodore thank you for telling me what my settings should have been for my tiger shot. I was really happy with the shot till had it blown up and seen that it wasn't as clear as I thought. That was my first time shooting at the zoo with anything other than a point and shot so maybe next time I'll have better luck. I really like looking at your animal shots taken in the wild wow they are cool. I hope to someday be able to go to Africa and take pictures like that.

Thanks so much for commenting on my image "Oh Deer..." I agree on the sharpness, I had just lowered my shutter speed as the late afternoon was creating low light and then - out of no where she ran across so I reacted with what I had already set on my camera. I wish we were allowed "do-overs", but you know with wildlife sometimes one shot is all you get.
I have to say, your work is BEAUTIFUL! The wildlife shots are breathtaking and your travels have given you some wonderful images. I will come back soon for another visit as I love wildlife and the moments that unfold as you try and capture no only the animal but the spirit of the creature.

Teo,
You have some beautiful and awesome shots of wildlife. I am honored to have had you comment and rate my shot "Gray Danger." Thank you for the encouragement. I have a similar shot in my portfolio in green, but I think the gray seems more ominous. I hope you will look at other shots I post and comment as well. Good luck on your next safari, -- Charles

Thanks ...
... for your kind comment, Theo. Your portfolio is truly professional in quality and scope.
As you can imagine, there are an awful lot of amateurs with seriously professional cameras and lenses here in Japan. But many do little more than gather in groups in parks to harass lone kingfishers. Such a waste!
