Saw your comment on wanting to get a new camera - you're doing pretty good with what you have. Keep shooting.

You're still doing great
Still like your photos - you don't need a new camera unless you get a real cheap one - check out Toy Camera.

Good metering
I really like your portraits. Could you tell me what kind of films and scanner you are using?
It seems Nikon N2000 is very good at metering.

Nice Work
I've been looking at your pictures and I must say that I like what I see. My fiance and I are planning to get married in May '07, and we've been looking for a photographer. We are working on a budget, but I am interested in your service. Let me know if that's possible. We live is Alexandria, VA, not too far from Arlington. Get back with me, if you are interested. Thanks,

Hi neighbor (I live in arlington also), I like your portfolio, especially the infant shots and the people shots (the one of the guy in the red pants is particuarly interesting).

Hello, Melody,
You have real talent for capturing people. Your baby shots are especially nice! The one with the pink flower is my favorite. Keep up the good work.
Best regards,
Tammy

Hi

Lovely Shots!
Hi,
Very "inspirational" portfolio for someone like me, just lately getting back into film...thank you for posting it! I've bookmarked your stuff in my "Best Galleries" folder.
As a minor note...noticed that you used a Nikon N2000 and a no-frills prime for lots of the shots.
When I starting shooting again it was the 2nd camera I bought on the Bay for pennies after a Minolta X-570 (a nice camera on it's own).
The 2000 is a wonderful camera...terribly under rated by the "snobs" but perfect weight/feel for me...but the shots you took with it are proof once again that when you consider all the elements that go into a great image, the camera, the lens, the film, the processing, etc., etc., the most important one is the eye and the sensitivity of the person looking through the viewfinder!
Happy shooting!
Herman
