"New to photography"? So I think photography was waiting for you.

Well, I might have heard the word before... ;-)
Seriously maybe I should have said that I gathered basic notions of exposure and shutter speed some 25 years ago (I was 15), at a summer camp in astronomy, where we used 35mm cameras hooked on big telescopes to map star systems. I didn't pursue astronomy nor photography - other that an occasional travel or family snapshot. I became really interested last fall, when our family P&S digital camera made me realize what the digital workflow could mean in terms of instant feedback, unlimited shooting, and total post-processing control. So I bought myself some gear, and began learning through a lot of experiments, and with the help of the incredible learning tool this forum is.
Anyway this was a very kind comment (the first on my portfolio!), for which I thank you very much. All the best.

Salut!

as i was scrolling through your portfolio the thought that came to my mind was "new to photography?" then i got to the bottom and saw the other comments and realized that i wasn't the first to have this thought or to appreciate your great images. now the thought that comes to my mind is "i can't wait to see what happens when he's been doing this for a while." spectacular. you really have an eye for finding something creative and visually appealing out of the ordinary. keep it up. take care.

Great Portifolio
Thanks Paul for your comment on my child photo. You have a very nice portifolio. I enjoyed all of them but the architecture ones are great. Congrats.
Constance Ryan , March 05, 2006; 01:42 A.M.
absolutely, I couldn't agree more with the above comments - your eye for textures and composition is far from a "beginner" and you make even common sights a statement.

Nice work, everything has a smooth flow.

Wonderful portfolio Paul, similar in subject matter as to what I am drawn too. It is always nice to find another who shares the same sense of wonder and vision in objects that are perhaps, too ordinary for many to see or contemplate. I like your talented eye to see as it does. Good work, Regards, Todd

Very nice portofolio. Especially your street shots are really excellent. I share your interrest in doors, windows and old, cluttery subjects. I'll be back here often.

Merci pour ton commentaire. Je trouve 硠difficile d'avoir confiance en ce que je fais et 硠me fait du bien d'avoir des feedbacks.

Paul, great portfolio. Your style really resonates with me - some of your photos make me think, if I were to greatly improve upon what ability and tendencies and imagination I have now, my future work might look something like yours right now. i'll definitely be checking your portfolio again in the future - I have something to learn from you.

Oh, damn! I have so little time for PN these days and here I come upon your portfolios and each image makes me want to comment. Overall, you have an amazingly consistant precision of composition, and not--god help us-- for its own sake but to forward an impression. It is the most striking thing, to me, about your body of work and I think the thing that acts on viewers on some subawareness level.
Although the genres you channel your creativity in are not uncommon, your approach is fresh and the content is completely original. It is very "creative eye" affirming to go through your folder.
Ah, just thought of one particular image I will have to make a comment on before I move on. I think it was called "Break Time". See you over there.

Great portfolio. I enjoyed it very much, especially your recent and B&W folder. Keep up the good work.

I've discovered your portfolio through some of my other photographer friends and I must say it's quite a find. All I had to do was to scroll through your thumbnails to understand the way you track down images. Really unique and individual work. I'm sure I'll be a frequent visitor. Regards, Jack

Hello Friend!
Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.
I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.
Happy Holidays and Happy Shooting
Ken
