Thanks
for looking and commenting on my photo.
I took a "walk" through your stories and I love your work (esp. black and white). I am learning more and more by trial and error how to make a digital black and white more like a b&w film photo.. Your B&W portraits are fantastic!
I am a new member to photo.net and find it an invaluable source for everything photographic.
Welcome and I look forward to more great works of art!

...from Italy!!!
Dear Paul, thanks for your words on my bio and my portfolio. I think ( but not only I !!!) that every man has, in every ambit of his own character, two opposite natures, like the two faces of a medal, one is easy and nice to show, the other one, the opposite face, the more weak, dark, "ugly" is not easy to accept! But only if we show and accept the "second" face will be true man ( and woman!) and we will be able to understand and love not only us but also our fellowmen. I know to be half angel and half devil, half good and half bad, and so it' s more easy to smile and to not make too much damages! See you again, Paul! WONDERFUL your B/W portraits!!! Ciao, Maurizio.
p.s. : I should like to have your opinion on my "Honly and profane" a nude from "Elena" and particularly an opinion on the first comment and on my reply, with the greatest frankness!

Same age!?
Dear friend, thanks for your comments on my photos. I can see that your philosophy is very similar to the mine.Maybe....the same age? Maybe, but I do not think only! I think that is easy (but dangerous) to be for THE BLAK or for THE WHITE (because one is also against or THE BLAK or THE WHITE!!!). We are for THE MANY TYPES OF GREY, with BLAK and WHITE!!! Ciao, dear Paul! Your friend Maurizio!
p.s.: I am sorry for my not good English!

Bravo Paul Henri!
Your photos have greatly improved over the years I have been viewing them! I especially appreciate the use of color and B&W to suit the scene or the subject matter. Very appropriate! One postive critique: more creativity with the names of your photos to bring a feeling or depth of the characters being photographed. It entices the viewer into the photo with your subject. Keep up the awesome work. Your family should be proud of you..I am!

Paul you have a gifted eye for many soulful images. Your "Women of San Miguel de Allende" is a very compelling folder. The "Archetecture" folder really draws my eye too. Looks like you enjoy shooting, and as if you had been for many more years than what you say.
Very nice and I am looking forward to seeing more as you post more.
Sincerely, Todd

Wow Paul you hit everything on the mark! Yes big lens, yes handheld yes lowlight and yes high ISO. I was shooting through my windshield while waiting at the stoplight.
Also, you call yourself a "guerilla photographer", I thought I came up with that! For the past two years, until very recently I described myself as a guerilla photographer in my bio. Explaining that I quite often am on my bicycle with my camera strapped to me, so that I can stop and within seconds have my camera to my eye, shoot the shot, and just as fast be on my way again.
Sort of a shoot and go kind of guy. I guess if there are more of us "guerilla photographers" around, we could start an army......Freedom Photographers might be more palatable for the current times though!
Regards, my friend! Todd

Dear friend, Saturday night, the 8th of December, my wife and I, had a big incident with our car (head-on collision), and we are alive for miracle: anyway, these not good moments, become also good moments! indeed, in these occasions, we can understand that life is so breakable, for not being happy every day to awaken, drink a coffee, to smile, to make love and other simple things, to meet people and, why not, to do photographs!
For doing these things we don?t need a lot of money and power: we need only our life and the capacity for surprise of simple things.
I have had a big gift, for this Xmas and the New Year, that is to say, I?m alive! and now, I know, I?ll love more life!
My dear friend! I wish to you the same thing, namely, the ability to transform the accidents of life in happiness to live better and to give the proper value to your life and to that of other!
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!....Ciaomau!
