patterns

I like your work. Nice to know you see the patterns in everyday life (do they make you crazy some times)at least until you finally go and shoot (camera)them.

Thank You

Hi Rich Thanks for your comment on my photo. You are correct. Mr. Wyeth would have loved the place. I wanted to check out your portfolio, and I see that you've got a great eye for composition, balance, and the abstract. I've really enjoyed it. Thanks again.

Jeff Walsh , January 26, 2006; 10:21 A.M.

Excellent Portfolio

Rich, your portfolio is excellent. You have a wonderful eye. I especially like your architechture photographs. The ones I'm really fond of are the ones of downtown Chicago buildings that are familiar to me. There must be something about the Marina Towers by the House of Blues, huh? I find I have many photographs of them as well. Your nature/flower photos are also great. Keep shooting and keep up the great work. Regards, Jeff

Koos van der Merwe , January 26, 2006; 11:10 A.M.

Great

Hi Rich, great portfolio, I love especially the "little" detail taken out of the whole context. Thanks for your comment on my African Skies 11, makes it worth more after seeing your portfolio.

Rick Vivian , January 29, 2006; 04:29 A.M.

Thanks Rich...

Thanks for taking the time to comment on my rose studies. I enjoyed viewing your portfolio very much. I like the boldness of your images and the way you don't include any "noise" or "visual pollution"....just the subject matter. Very satisfying viewing.

Martin Georgiev , January 30, 2006; 03:35 A.M.

Thank you

Thank you very much for your kind comment. It is wonderful to receive a compliment, but it is even better to receive it form someone whose pictures you like.

Mike Smith , February 01, 2006; 09:10 P.M.

Thanks.

I was expecting to get hate mail, so I'm glad someone gets what I'm saying. I like the flow of your photos, many of them give a sense of being taken in passing, instead of being rigid and forced like most photos.

Vin Morgan , February 05, 2006; 09:56 P.M.

Rich,

Thank you for your very kind remarks on my portfolio. Yes, I find it challenging to look at my own stuff. On the other hand, it's a great treat to look at your excellent work!

Rich: I will be leaving for Colorado for a week but upon my return, I plan on putting aside a decent amount of time to view your fantastic portfolio. In the quick tour I took, I really liked your work. I look forward to returning.

Bryan Kannowski , February 11, 2006; 01:43 P.M.

I especially like...

the shot of Munising falls. Always nice to see pictures of a famaliar area. I'm in Dallas now (for the past 3 years), but am born and raised in the northern Michigan area (Alpena if you know where that is.) Anyway, thank you for the comment and keep up the good work!

Danilo Vetrano , February 12, 2006; 09:58 A.M.

!

Great portfolio, many stellar shots, well done! ... and thank you for the comment on my photo, I think I agree with your critique. I've submitted a recropped version which I think focuses less on the walkway and more on where it leads.

Hi Rich

Hallo Rich, thank you for your visit on my portfolio and your comment, I think my English is not better than your Italian... So, I want to tell you that I like very much your portfolio, your architecture images are very interesting, and also the others are beautiful. Regards from Italy Chiara

Robert Popela , February 17, 2006; 08:05 A.M.

Hi Rich. First of all, thank you for comments on my photos, because, they are always constructive ones, and it helps. As I read your bio and then look at your portfolio, I can say "Yes, he is self-tought photographer". Why ? Your compositions and abstracts are not loaded by composition schemes and some rules or guidelines, but they are driven by some aesthetical feelings, and thats valuable for me. What I really like in your portfolio is ongoing taste to experimenting. Good luck. r.

Paul Chepikian , February 22, 2006; 07:22 A.M.

Hi Rich: As promised, I have returned to your site. I really can relate to some of your images. I think we share some common subjects. You've got a great eye for composition and framing. I look forward to taking a closer look at individual pieces in your portfolio and leaving comments for you. Keep up the good work and keep shooting. I look forward to many visits back to your site.

Andrea Albero , February 22, 2006; 09:02 A.M.

Paul Louis Villani , March 16, 2006; 08:00 A.M.

Wow! Glad I stopped by! Inspiring! Your bio pic probably says the most about you :) but your work displays talent and originality seldom seen!

Darrell M , March 22, 2006; 08:19 A.M.

Hi Richard. You've got something happening here. A lot of experimentation-sometimes more successful than others. I guess it's going to be difficult for you to differentiate the former from the latter but I admire your boldness and your willingness to play. The portraits work well for me-again some more than others. Whilst I feel indifferent to Hakiru I find Anguish and Puppy is Rusty to be outstanding works. Like so much of your portfolio the portraits are unique to you and this finally is what I like most here. Original, thought-provoking, intelligent, a great escape from the ultra-focused full tonal range high contrast cliches which people imagine constitute the only methods of photography.

Francisco Ribeiro do Vale , March 26, 2006; 06:20 P.M.

Beautiful portifolio

Rich, your portifolio is beatiful. Thanks for your comments on my orchid photo. I am trying to do something different with the orchid photos but you know how difficult is it. Light, dof, texture, etc everything is difficult so your comments is very important for me and serves as stimule to continue making this type of photos. Congratulations for your great portifolio with wonderful photos.

Wendy de Kok , March 27, 2006; 03:11 A.M.

Paul Rollin , March 28, 2006; 01:36 A.M.

Thanks For Your Kind Words

Your comments regarding my portfolio are much appreciated, especially after I had a chance to see yours. You have a bounty of exraordinary work. Please offer your critiques, comments, or suggestions for improvement on any of my photos.

Many of us get to so personally wrapped up in with our own work, that we lose objectivity. I try very hard to remain objective. The thing that amazes me about the rating system, is that I post some Crap that gets good pretty good ratings. And then I post some photos that I consider pretty good that get trashed. If you want high ratings, just find a young lady that will strip off, and allow you to photograph her, and post her picture on the internet, and you will get at least a 6/6. I guess we owe it to anyone that has that much good Bullshit.

Your Portfolio is an inspiration.

Thanks again.

Paul

Hi Rich, Thanks for taking time to review my photos. I agree with Bresson's comment. I'm a new photographer-not an excuse but the beginning of a journey.Don't know where I'm headed but know I like impressionistic images and rich colors.Your portfolio is unique and a pleasure to view.

Saludos.

Ben Huybrechts , November 21, 2007; 03:27 P.M.

Hi Rich

What a portfolio 400 pictures was a bit too much to have a serious look at in one time. I enjoyed the first part of abstracts, up to now my favourite is the millenium park. I certainly will be back for the rest.

Kenneth Fugate , November 21, 2007; 04:45 P.M.

Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.

Happy Holidays and Happy Shooting

Ken
