Great photos. I also have the Minolta X-370, Coolpix 5700 and Canon 300D Rebel...coincidence I guess. I just joined up so hopefully I have more of my stuff uploaded too. Anyway good work especially your landscapes and lighthouses.

As a native New Englander, I'm not unfamiliar with really cold weather. However, these South Haven lighthouse photos are of COLD weather. My fingers and toes are cold just looking at them. I always had the idea that the lakes were, well ... just that: lakes. Nice calm lakes. I had no idea how vicious the winter could be on the lake you've shown here. So I feel your photos are not only beautiful, but quite educational and enable the viewer to really enter into the scene you've captured. I'm impressed!

Jen, I love your work! Like you, I am also fond of lighthouses. Unfortunately, I have only recently begun to get serious about photography. So my previous lighthouse hunts have been laden with snapshots that probably aren't worthy of posting here. I have started going back through some of our earlier trips to see if there are any hidden treasures there. You are truly an inspiration! Cheers to you!!

Jenifer-I was directed to your page by Chad, who thought of me when he saw your lighthouses. I really enjoyed your lighthouse folders--I'm jealous of you having so many different ones you've shot! Since you have an interest in lighthouses, check out my portfolio when you get a chance. I actually have shots of a few different lighthouses I've been meaning to post and I have day trips planned to photograph a couple more--you've now become my lighthouse standard of comparison! It goes without saying that your work is spectacular! I love the angles and unique shots. Furthermore, your saturation and the crispness of your colors is superb! I've not only enjoyed looking at your images but have also learned a lot about photography from them and gotten many ideas for my own work. I also enjoyed your other folders--your interests align very well with mine. I love waterfalls and actually spent quite a bit of time a few days this summer capturing hummingbirds outside at my bird feeder! Anyway, congratulations on a great portfolio--keep up the work and I'll definitely be back--you have rapidly become one of my favorites!
