Excellent flower, landscape and old building work Tammy. I really enjoy the way you compose and make a print interesting. Sometimes a minor change in lighting and your work would change perspective completely.

I like your eye, Tammy. You've got a real talent for composition of interesting scenes that depict life in the midwest. I'm impressed and will be back to visit. I am going to Nebraska during Christmas (2006) to visit my daughter and her husband and I'm taking my camera and tripod - maybe I can catch a shot or two like what you've got here. I grew up in Iowa and your portfolio makes my homesick. I've not been back for 20 years and still it is home. For me your Landscape and Building photos really capture the essence of what makes Iowa such a special place. I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Tammy ... having lived three years myself in Iowa, I can relate to some of the farm scenes. And certainly the snowstorms. Each of my three winters there was pretty wicked. But a nice thing about them is that they often can give you beautiful photo opportunities. I just wish I'd had owned camera equipment when I was there. But I digress ...

It's great to see you took advantage of those opportunities. Your landscapes are wonderful; I particularly liked your sunsets and sky colorscapes. I see by your floral and insect shots that you have an interest in macro. Keep studying and shooting those; your eye for it is apparent. Best regards.

Tammy - first off, you've captured some subjects here that are very dear to my heart - fences and snow :) You have lots of wonderful images here - I've never been to Iowa but I can feel the place. Beautiful colours and space, and I love run down buildings. Is everybody's house like that?? ;)) Good work - keep it up. I'll be back to see more.

Just came across your work tonight because you posted to the critique forum and I came for a look. I was born and raised in Iowa, and left after college (a very long time ago) to seek fame and fortune in other parts. I still go back regularly and have always loved the state so much. I still root for the Hawkeyes and bleed Hawkeye blood, as well as Drake Bulldogs (my alma mater). I'm so glad you have given such a nice presentation of the subtle beauty of the state. There is a lot to be proud of in Iowa. Keep up the good work. Peace
