So I appreciate your commments especially, since I like shooting what I see, and presenting it that way. I have two sections here that deal with manipulations, but they are sectioned off from the rest. Again, thanks.

You follow a line through various shots and then out of the blue comes a folio that is crisp, clean spot on in every way. And such diversity it is difficult to pick out strengths among strengths. I would have to say that you are a natural colourist. Regards Ken.

Thanks Jack for your comments on my orchid photo. I agree with you that I can get better results doing a better crop and framing the photo. I will try to do that. For framing do you use any specific software or do use Corel for that? By the way, your flowers photos are spetacular. Congratulations.

Thanks for responding, Fransisco. I use Macromedia Fireworks MX, which isn't the most user friendly of programs, since it's primarily for website design. I just try to keep it real simple, cuz' otherwise it gets crazy.

I must agree you shot marvelous macro, and amazing animals, birds, and insects. Then there are the flowers. Absolutely wonderful shots. All are difficult to shoot. I especially loved the Sarah and Cecilia section. I would love to see more of your work with them. Keep at it. And congratulations on a great portfolio.

You truly have an uncanny way of looking at flowers and foliage such as none other! A couple of your images actually brought tears to my eyes (how sappy is that!) They are truly incredible works of art. There is a name for you - it is called "The Flower Whisperer". I love all your images - including the foliage and leaf shots - yes indeed, even the ones floating around in the twilight zone! hahaha - so very beautiful....

Jack, I have looked through your portfolio. You have some beautiful work here. I especially like the florals. I would guess that you have set up an in home area to photograph your floral shots with a black background?

Thanks for the visit and your kind comments. It's always nice to know folks are stopping by. As for the black backgrounds, no, with only one or two exceptions, they are done in Macromedia. As I get older I learn other techniques...such as you mention...and that makes life much simpler. Believe me. :)

You have a pretty fantastic portfolio there. Great flower shots. I was hoping maybe you could review mine and provide some feedback. I'm still learning and trying different things. I find I have to have a lot of patients when shooting and refrain from impulse shooting to get the best compositon. I really like your work here and hope one day mine will be as good.
