Whilst I am not a fan of flower photos - they usually all look the same - I find that you have managed originality combined with good technique - I look forward to seein more.

Your Job is marvellous. There are balnce about contrast with color and good selection on angles. Great folder of flowers and faces of child photos. I see that your point of view is very selective about the objects you capture. Not all is to catch backgrounds as in Landscape is use to capture. The final photos about your job are very close with each element.

You have some gorgeous work here in your collection. Your sense of color is outstanding (and I don't even shoot color).

As with one of your images that I have commented on, my only issue with your presentation is your use of frames and borders. Especially in your images of our beautiful North Carolina mountains. Those images seem compressed into a small space, and the frames and borders negate the sense of openness that images of that type deserve. In my opinion, the frames...especially the wide black ones...are smothering your images, and the touch of color you add in some of them really does not help. It looks like you are trying to color-coordinate everything to make the image more appealing, rather than just letting your images speak for themselves.

But still...excellent work.

really glad to have run across your work. exceptional colors, compositions and clarity. so hard to do, but your work has an effortless quality nonetheless. i'm not partial to frames either . . . your work is so good, it can stand by itself.

Vicki, I found your portfolio via the "six-degrees of Kevin Bacon" method (i.e., your name appeared in a comment at a portfolio or image I was viewing, where I arrived on yet another referral, etc.). Anyway, I surely need more time to fully appreciate what you have here. I enjoyed my tour during the time I was able to spend, especially the dynamic floras and abstracts, and your portraits -- especially those of the children -- are smile-conjuring, to say the least.

Vicki, you have a beautiful portfolio from the Hydrangea and other flowers to the countryside and portraits. You have a great eye for a good picture and a really great skill at vignetting and placing frames around the images.

Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. May you and your family be blessed this season.

Thanks Vicki for your comments on my photos. The "look" was done with layers and then some parts of the layers were removed with a transparency brush and a blending brush. You also have a wonderful portfolio! Many excellent photos. Regards, Linda
