Hi Jean-Philippe Allard. Thanks for your comments on my photo-site. I can see you are a budding artist with a photographic eye. You are good at portraits but your night shots can be improved. Some advice - since you have the Canon digital Rebel, use a tripod and aim for the hightlights. Bracket your shots and never shoot after the night blue sky is gone. Use the white balance to change to tungsten light to a bluer hue. Happy shooting.

!
Hey, thanks for the advice! I'll be sure to try that next time!
And it's always a pleasure to comment your pictures ;)

Motion...
I try to look for a theme in a portfolio (if there is one) and yours seems to be "motion." Even in the still shots, I get a real sense of motion and I think it is indicative of your vision and style. Regards, Jerry

This is... a very kind compliment of you! I didn't even remark this, I guess someone else had to point it out, but I do have to agree! It's not intentionnal, but I always want to show movement in my pictures I think...
I have to go now, I'll take a look at your portfolio later!

Your landscapes/waterscapes are great. Good work! I'd like to thank you for commenting on one of my photo's. You thought the sky was "photoshopped"? Actually, it's not two different shots or even overly photoshopped but, infrared... the rest of the scene looks a little odd too, just like the sky. That's one of the great things about infrared. It give a scene a surreal look. I especially like this shot because the sky came out looking so neat. I did add a bit of color saturation but the sky already had the look that it does now. Thanks for your comments anyway.

Hey man...I really like your work thus far. We pretty much have the same setup to the T! I've been to Montreal a fair amount. You've got a great city to derive some inspiration, so I hope you start shooting again. Take a gander at my portfolio...its gonna take me some time to sort through yours

Awesome! I love your portfolio! Its always great to see another "youngin" shooting. I agree with the above post about the "motion" in your portfolio. Very groovy stuff, especially your night shots. I'd be super jazzed if you could take a look at my portfolio. All the stuff i have scanned(really horrible scans) is from highschool. Great portfolio again.

Hi Jean
You have some pretty amazing shots there. You should look into working for sports or musical magazines. I really like your musical potraits. The backgrounds are really nice. If you were in Nashville, Tennessee taking pictures of the musicians there, you would make a fortune!
