Nice snoot. I use a Cheerios box on my Alien Bees. I don't think the Pringles can would fit.

Richard the lamp shade has 3 sections and I would get one of the partitions in just about any position I place it. Thanks for the observation though.
Mike. The snoot fits the 580EX pretty tight it would not fit the 580 EXII it works quite well.

Love the hue of warmth in the shot. Was there any editing required like WB to get that warm hue? Thanks for the detailed setup. That image has got some serious ambience.

So there's a strobe in the box, too, covered by a paper towel? I'm not familiar with all the equipment except the Pringles can, paper towel and foil.

Tim you are far from a disgrace, I already saw your work. The ambiance color comes from the flashes that were gelled with orange films (that is what I make a reference to 1/2 cut or 3/4 cut CTO ) plus I changed the white balance on the camera to match the color cast I introduced by gelling those lights. Very little editing was done to it.
The one area I worked the color temp on post work was my wife's face. It was a bit warmer than I wanted to so I cooled down her face slightly.
The paper towel inside of the box helped to diffuse the light and make it softer. I you click on the original post link that will take you to my blog and that gives more details as to how I did the shot.

This is great. Thanks for the lighting diagram. Very informative. And a great result, obviously well thought through. I put my wife through such sessions as well LOL!
