North Vancouver by Twilight

Forrest Croce , Jan 01, 2007; 11:27 p.m.

I love mountains. I live in Seattle, and we're surrounded in every direction by the Cascades and Olympics, in fact Ranier towers above everything in sight ... on a clear day, which we don't get enough of. I just got back from most of a week in Vancouver, and while I didn't get as many good photos as I was hoping, I had a great time.

Looks good. I am visiting the Cascades myself right now and the weather has had me down. I had one good day on Friday, but I have struck out since then.

I grew up in Vancouver, and the two posts above remind me of the local saying about mid-winter weather: "If you can see the mountains, it's going to rain; if you can't see the mountains, it's raining already."

Nice shot of the North Shore, Forrest (just before the rain).
