Hi Everyone,
I have a custom bracket digital pro-m for my 5D MK2. I've attached my 580 EXII, but want to add a battery pack cp-e4. Where can I put the battery pack? The longer screw the CP-E4 came with isnt long enough to attach through the base and bottom of the camera. Do I need add'l parts to attach the CP-E4 to this bracket? Or am I missing something?
Thanks in advance!

How about putting it on your belt? My wife used a different custom bracket but the long screw was used to attach the battery back to the bottom of the bracket. Just makes an already heavy rig, that much heavier though. We switched to the RRS Wedding Pro and now she just keeps the battery pack on a belt. So much easier.

You have a relatively heavy bracket with the Pro-M and you will have a flash and a camera and at most times a relatively heavy lens like the 24-70mm f2.8 zoom. Adding a battery pack for extended shooting will add more weight to what is already a heavy rig. Use a shoulder strap is you do not want to use a waist strap for the battery pack.
One drawback to the Pro-M compared to the other Custom Brackets brackets is the lack of a place to mount anything in addition to the flash, such as a RF transmitter. Many people should consider getting the lighter Pro-E instead.
